Celebrating 1,000 Culverts

THE U.S. FOREST SERVICE AND ITS MANY PARTNERS ARE BUILDING BETTER CULVERTS TO OPEN WATERWAYS FOR FISH TO GROW, REPRODUCE AND SURVIVE, TO IMPROVE THE RESILIENCY OF ROADS TO FLOODING, AND TO PROTECT TRANSPORTATION INFRASTRUCTURE FOR COMMUNITIES

The USDA Forest service's Story Map celebrating the achievement of more than 1,000 culverts removed or replaced for Aquatic Organism Passage under the Legacy Roads & Trails Funding is now live.  Please see the Forest Service website http://www.fs.fed.us/science-technology/fish-wildlife-plants and scroll down to How We Are Helping Fish & Wildlife.   This accomplishment and the larger effort to improve aquatic connectivity for the nation’s aquatic ecosystems and improve local flood resiliency are in large part due to the tremendous investment and support from hundreds of partners like yourselves.

Please feel free to post a link to the page or to the Story Map http://www.fs.fed.us/biology/fish/1000-culverts/ to your friends, colleagues and members.
